On 17 February, Zeolym High School held its grand opening ceremony for the 2025 new semester. At the start of this semester, a wave of good news swept over everyone like a spring breeze, bringing immense excitement and joy.
At the opening ceremony, our new general principal was officially announced. Nancy Wang is a renowned expert in international education in Shanghai. With many years of experience in education, Nancy has guided many students into world-renowned universities. Her arrival has not only injected new vitality into Zeolym, but also brought a great sense of confidence and expectation to both the staff and students.

She previously served as the principal of Guanghua Cambridge School (Pudong Campus), one of the most prestigious A-level schools in Shanghai.
As the former executive principal of WLSA Shanghai Academy, she led the WLSA AP programme and WLSA-Xinzhuyuan programme, and the WLSA A-Level programme. Furthermore, she designed a well-rounded A-Level curriculum that provides holistic education while remaining highly competitive for university applications, especially for, USA university applications.
Throughout her twenty-year journey in international education, she has been personally dedicated to university admissions. Through her professional guidance and unwavering efforts, numerous students have successfully gained admission to prestigious institutions such as Oxford University, Cambridge University, the London School of Economics and Political Science, Imperial College London, University College London, and Ivy League universities in the United States.
She has a profound academic background and rich experience in education management. As an associate professor, she accumulated solid academic research capabilities in the fields of university teaching and scientific research, and has published more than ten influential academic papers in national academic journals and international academic journals. As an outstanding principal in international curriculum teaching, university guidance and school management, she has opened a new chapter in education.
Classes named after stars
Principal Davy announced that, in the new semester, each class at Zeolym will be named after a star.
'Sirius' Class
It is one of the brightest stars in the night sky, symbolising the hope that students remain dedicated to chase their dreams.
'Vega' Class
It symbolises creativity and dreams, wishing every student in this class the courage to bravely pursue the dreams in their hearts.
'Mirfak' Class
It symbolises courage and exploration, wishing every student the vitality and quick-thinking skills to thrive.
And the holistic development mentors for each class will guide students in deeply implementing the concept of 'holistic education,' striving for excellence not only in academics, but also in developing character, social practice, intercultural communication, and physical and mental well-being.
The inspiring speech, 'Navigating the Future in the Age of Intelligence,' delivered by Ms Summer, left a deep impression on both the teachers and students.
Invited to attend this semester's opening ceremony, Mr. Zhao Liangen, former Chief Inspector of Education in Pudong New Area and current President of the Pudong New Area Education Association, expressed his admiration for Zeolym's initiatives for the new semester. He also offered five expectations for Zeolym students in the age of artificial intelligence:

The president of the Student Union, Jenny, shared the goals and school activity plan for this semester, sparking the students' eager anticipation for the upcoming diverse and exciting school activities.
